The Postgraduate Training Program in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing is a highly specialized, two-year program designed for trained cardiologists and cardiac surgeons seeking to advance their expertise in diagnosing, managing, and treating cardiac arrhythmias. Hosted by the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in collaboration with UZ Brussel, this program combines extensive hands-on clinical practice, cutting- edge research opportunities, and comprehensive theoretical training to prepare professionals for certification and excellence in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and pacing.​Over the past 35 years, this program has trained fellows who now hold leading cardiology positions worldwide. The curriculum aligns with European Society of Cardiology (ESC) guidelines and is recognized by the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA) as a Certified Training Center in Cardiac Pacing, ICDs, and Invasive Electrophysiology.​
